Hi there. I'm thinking of travelling to JB during the Chinese New Year period for some shopping and trying out the seafood places. But I'm not sure if it's open during this festive month!Anybody has any idea if the places are open?

They should be open as these are the days where they earned big money.

Can't be so sure if they are open. JB is principally home to people from other parts of Malaysia. There is usually an exodus of people out of JB during long holidays like Chinese New Year.So it's likely that most shops and restaurants would be closed.

Most of the large shopping centers are open during CNY.
