Ko Samui Travel Forum

I'm planning to spend about 5 days in Ko Samui next month. I would like advice on somewhere cheap, comfortable and central to stay. I am a student travelling on my own, so i need a room that is affordable. which budget places are the best value for money?

also, i will be heading up to ko pha ngan after that. where is best to stay there? and should i spend more time on ko pha ngan or ko samui?

It`s relatively new,cheap & well located.

I haven't stayed there myself but have heard that Al's Hut located at
159/86 Moo 2, Chaweng Beach, Bophut Koh Samui, Suratthani 84320 are good value.
They're very central to shops and clubs but can be a little noisey early in the morning from the bass from the music. No pool but right on the beach and rooms are clean.

Hi,

There is a great guesthouse just slightly north of chaweng beach near to the burger king called Chavin. The rooms are clean and comfortable and for a double room with aircon it was 800bht when we stayed there last year.
