Brussels to Amsterdam
Posted: Mon September 22, 2003 12:11 AM UTC
Hi, I will be in Belgium from October 9th to October 15th. Can you tell me the cheapest and or best ways of getting from Brussels to Amsterdam? I was thinking by train but what would that cost? It seems expensive on the eurorail.com website. Thank you!

Hi Ryan.

The best and cheapest way from Brussels to Amsterdam will be with the train.
This is the official website from the Belgium railroads:

http://www.b-rail.be/E/index.php

Just click on timetables and you can search on date and hour.

It is only a shame that they can not give prices on this page by travelling outside Belgium.

Of course, the cheapest way from Brussels to Amsterdam will be hitchhike, but I guess that will take a long time ;o)

Enjoy your stay in Belgium and Holland.

Cheers,

Ron

Cappa, how much do you think the bus fare would be? I checked eurolines website but no mention of fares, only fares for the passes for europe. thank you!

thalys(high speed)train is more expensive but as high speed tracks between brussels and amsterdam are not yet built....no time profit !
