| Varadero | Sailing in Varadero Posted: Sun January 27, 2008 05:25 PM UTC
Hi,
We are looking for a company that rents out Catamaran for 3-5 days or a company where we can book 3-5 and go sailing around Cuba. We are aprox 5-7 people. Does anybody know? Best regards Jorgen |

My husband and I went to Varadero in 1995 (yeah, a long time ago!). We stayed at Melia Las Americas and they had watersports on site. We rented a catamaran for 8 hours and had to pay about $300 dollars for it. I do not recall if you could rent it for more than that and if they would allow you to sail around on your own.
We also spent 2 days in Cayo Coco and booked a catamaran trip through the representative of Signature Vacations. It was an eight hour day. We were picked you up at the resort and also dropped off here at the end of the trip. During the day, we made three stops: 2 to snorkel and 1 at a beach. Lunch was served on board: langostino (tastes like lobster, but it does not look like a real lobster). My advice would be to contact either the company you booked your vacation with and see if they can help you out with this, or even call the hotel where you will be staying directly and ask them about it.
