It is amazingly hard to find info on this subject - I was in Lucca last year for a week and while searching and searching finally came across this site which seems to have really good info http://luccapro.cribecu.sns.it/ENG/index.asp
click on events and then choose music and see if this helps you. There are often evening concerts in the Churchof San Giovani. You can buy tickets in advance at the doo.

That link is great and I think that is the one I eventually did find but believe me finding info on Lucca concerts was more difficult than I expected.

They don't have 2008 posted as yet. Usually in late March , April.
