Literally - Little Paris.
There are a number of small places throughout France with that name - I will be staying close by one of them in Finistere, Brittany in May. Do a key words search on VT and you will find the others. "Petit Paris" is also a very popular name for restaurants - lots of them all over the world. There is also a part of Strasbourg known as Petit FRANCE

"Petit" (pronounced "peh-TEE" unless a vowel follows, then the last "t" is pronounced) means little, or small. "Petite," the feminine form, is of course often applied to diminutive clothing sizes.
Loosely, "Petit Paris" may be comparable to, say, "Little Italy" or "Little Saigon," etc., in U.S. cities.
