We want to visit batu caves and genting highlands in one day because we're have a tight schedule. Is it possible?
Is there any public bus from batu caves to genting highlands?
or is it possible to stop at batu caves when we return to KL from Genting and take a public bus from batu caves to KL?

here are some of the ways i can think of. and yes, your schedule is rather tight.

1. Go to Genting first (really early in the morning) and get a taxi from Genting to Batu Caves (direct). You would need to keep a tight rein on the time you spend in Genting (just too many attractions!). Go to the Genting bus and taxi stand and get a taxi. you would have to negotiate for the fare or insist that the driver use the taxi driver. To get back to KL from Batu Caves, you can either take a taxi again or public bus (http://www.virtualmalaysia.com/destination/batu%20caves.html)

2. Go to Batu Caves first (also early morning) and spend about an hour there. From there, you can try to get a taxi to Genting. If that fails, take a taxi to Terminal Putra (last station of the LRT on Gombak line). Genting runs a bus service from the station (ticket counter located outside the station on the ground floor, ask for direction) to the Skyway cable car station halfway up to Genting. Take the cablecar up all the way to Genting and enjoy. If I remember correctly, you can purchase the bus and cable car ticket (package) at Terminal Putra. From Genting, you can either take the same bus back to Terminal Putra and take the LRT train to KL downtown, or take an express bus from Genting all the way to Pudu bus station or Plaza Rakyat bus station (cheapest and most convenient) or a taxi all the way back to KL.

2nd alternative will give you more time to spend in Genting. Do check out the various websites for opening/closing time and bus schedule. Genting website is a good start (www.genting.com.my)

other VTers might have better suggestions. Good luck!
