I'll be based out of New Orleans on the cruise ships around this time and wanna know how the weather is? Will I need to dress warm during Feb-Mar?

Your cruise line most likely will provide meteorological information. Meanwhile, you're probably best served by consulting on-line weather forecasts provided by NOLA TV, radio and newspaper resources a day or two before you depart. Get the forecasts, digest the info, pack & plan accordingly. IMHO, there's no set answer to "how the weather is" there in Feb./March, having been there. It's on the late edge of winter & very early start of spring in the Deep South; volatile. Moisture, humidity, rain, etc., are probably going to be principal concerns at that time of year.

Bring layers. The weather could go either way at that time of year. I've been there in February when it was hot and humid, and in March when it was cold and windy.

I agree with Rixie----my sisters came to visit me in March one year, thinking they were leaving cold New England to come to the warmth of the south. They were surprised to find temperatures in the 50's with cold wind! The temperatures this year in particular have been bouncing around like crazy, giving us a very bad flu season this year! But---think positively---everything should be over when you come :)
