hello. i`d like to know if there is a boat leaving mainz to koblenz or vice-versa, with no stop, or even, leaving koblenz till bingen with no stop. i`ll be by car, so, i have in mind leave the car in koblenz and take the boat, but i`m worried about how to return, once i just want a one-way trip. so if i get the boat from koblenz to bingen, for exemple, do i have any bus or train or whathever to get back faster? and what about the fares? thaks a lot.

Most scenic is the part between Bingen and Koblenz. This is also the part with the most frequent boat service. In high season more or less an hourly service.
Downstream is on the Rhine much faster than upstream.

The boats stop quite frequently. The boat service is some kind of leftover when these boats were the main means of public transport (pre-railway times).
Here it comes to a good second reason to start (upstream) by train to Bingen. With a valid train ticket you'll get a 20% discount on the KD boat fares.

Thus train to Bingen from Koblenz and than back by boat is the best idea.

Koblenz - Bingen by train is 45-53 min by regional trains (EUR 10,90).

Bingen - Koblenz by boat needs 3:40 (EUR 26,40 - 20%)

Thus you should plan 5-6 hours for this. More time won't harm as both the trains and the boats allow stopovers.

You can buy these tickets on spot. It's neither necessary nor possible to reserve.
