| Colombo | Hindu wedding ceremony in Sri Lanka Posted: Fri January 25, 2008 07:49 PM UTC
Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone can help us. We are coming to Sri Lanka in June 2008 and are looking for a Hindu priest to conduct a ceremony in Hindi, English, Gujarati or Sanskrit. We will be staying in Bentota, but are willing to travel. If anyone can help us, we be grateful. Many thanks, JS |

There is a Hindu Priest who runs a beautiful little Temple at Pimbura, which is less than an hour away from Bentota. I'm sure he would be glad to help you but his English isn't good and I don't know if he speaks Sanskrit. There is also a Hindu Temple at Galle but I don’t know anyone there.
There is no shortage of Hindu Priests in Sri Lanka; some friends of mine recently hired 3 to do a ceremony on their new house, finding one shouldn’t be difficult but if you don’t get sorted out give me a shout nearer the time and I will ask someone to sort you out. I was pretty sure that the hotels arrange Hindu weddings can’t they help?
