Can anyone suggest a reliable company that offers guided walking tours of Leipzig? We are to spend four days there soon (6 of us - all English speakers and all of mature years! Though we are still very active!)
Ideally we would like 2 to 3 hours on our first morning (a Thursday) so as to get an overview of the city and perhaps a peek at one or two of the lesser-known areas. |

There are walking tours, in both English and German, that depart from the Tourism Office at Richard Wagner Strasse 1. From October through April the Tour leaves on Saturdays at 1:30 P.M. On Sundays, the departure time is 10:30 A.M. During May, through September, the tours leave daily at 1:30 P.M. The web site for the tourist office is: www.lts-leipzig.de. There are also bus tours in English, and German. Web sites for these: (1) www.dvbag.de, (2) www.leipzig-erleben.com, & (3) www.stadtrundfahrt.com. The last page will translate to English. The first two sites, you have to click "translate this Page" before you go to the site. Gary
