Hi all,

At the end of April I want to got to the Toroweap overlook from St George. I did this 4 years ago but can't for the life of me remember the turn-off on the I-15 to take me down past the old schoolhouse at Mt Trumbell.
Any help please...

I have already seen the site, but it doesn't say where to get off the I-15. There is one of the exits that saves you a lot of miles, because if you miss it you have to go up to Washington and all the way back.

This really does not answer your question either as the route they are describing is the eastern route. I did a lot of field work ( a long time ago) around Mt. Trumbull and used a road that went sout out of the St. George area. This was the western access road. You might want to look check with the Arizona Strip office of the Bureau of Land Management.

Check google maps - it seems to show a couple things pretty clearly - there is a S. River Road leaving south from St. George and I am pretty sure that is the road I used to use. If you are exiting from I15 (west of town) you can take the E Brigham Road exit and head east to S. River Road which become Road 5.

After a bit of searching on the BLM site I finally found what I was looking for. As you just described EXIT 4 from I-15 and as you say E. Brigham rd and then right on river road (blm 1069) and after route 5 until Toroweap.
