just wonder if anyone ever thought of going there?

i was nearly on the doorstep to tokelau when i was in apia/samoa. there is the only tokelau representation office. the only way to go to tokelau is the supply ship from apia. but none could tell me the departure time of the ship (about once a month). very infrequent and unreliable, but nice to think about that. greetings from tom

i think there's one every 2 weeks now. i've been checking some info. i wrote to the one who has the boat info but unfortunately he's out of the office until sep 29 :( i wonder if they will ever build an airport there.

I went to Tokelau last year (July). An airport will always be an impossibility as the islands are all too small to create a landing strip. In any case, the remoteness is the charm :)

If you're interested in going, I'll help with info. I'll also get around to doing a Tokelau page as soon as possible.
