i know that there are lot of beach resorts along alona beach... do they accomodate tourist who would just like to stay the whole day on their resort along the beach for picnic and swimming? do they have these cottages for us to rent and use? we are not actually going to check in their hotels or rooms cause in the afternoon were just going to leave the resort... cottages along the beach is enough for us for the whole day swimming..... anybody knows what resort offers this? how much is the entrance per person and also the cottage rate?

No cottages that I know of. However, ALona Kew has beach benches/chairs near their restaurant, u can use it provided you order some food or drinks from them. Some resorts (like Lost Horizon & Bohol Divers) have bars along the beach. I just don't know if you will be allowed to use their facilities for rinsing seawater off yourselves.

For picnic, that part of the beach at the right most part (whehn facing the sea), after the stretch of resorts, are what the locals used for picnic and swimming.

you can check out the cottages located at daluan (danluan?)resort half a kilometer before alona beach. it has lots of cottages at the beachfront aside from the hotel where you can check in. i just do not know the cottage rate but their rooms start at i think 1300php. you do not have to pay entrance fee because it is a public beach you just have to pay for the cottage rent. the beach is very nice, i think even better than alona beach, because the beachfront is wider and longer than alona beach and has no boats moored. just ask the van or tour drivers at tagbilaran to take you to daluan resort. the beach resort is just about .25 km from the road.
