I have been told that a couple can not stay in a hotel in Kuwait without a marriage license and it has to be in Arabic. Can anyone verify this?

Yes we do have the same last name - I also have a military id card as well.

Then nobody will ask you for any further documentation if you tell them you're husband and wife. Just bring your passports and visas.

We now live here but came as visitors previously. We had no problems as we had same name and passports - no need for marriage licence in any language. Can be tricky in all sorts of situations if your names don't match however.
