Tavira Swimming in Tavira

We are planning to visit Tavira at the end of May or in the beginning of June. I was wondering if the water is going to be warm enough (20 C)to swim?

Quite probably. There were people swimming in the sea in Albufeira yesterday!

Tavira is over a mile inland by the way in case you didn't know. The nearest beaches are on the island, which is accessible only by a little ferry or water taxi. I am not 100% sure whether either operate that early in the season.

Yes, it will be warm enough to swim.
One of the best beaches is "Praia do Barril": like 5 km from Tavira, and then you have to take a little old touristic train (or by foot) at "Pedras D`El Rei" to get to the beach. Extensive beach with a cafe/restaurant and a beautiful sea. Worth a visit.
