We plan to go to Essaouira and would like to take a private taxi. Does anybody know the price from Marrakesh?

A taxi will cost somewhere between 700-1000 MAD(70-100 Euros)(45-65 Pounds). Supratours aircon luxury coach costs 60 MAD per person (6 Euros) (£4).

grande taxis (the large private taxis being talked about here) can usually be rented for 500 dirham a day with driver - so thats an option - to rent for two or more days and see Diabet and a bit of the area around Essouira as well, even go down the coast to Tamanar and Tamri and Agadir or up to Safi.

to rent though at the usual price you might need to, other than haggling at the airport and see if you can get the usual price as being at the airport it seems these days the drivers there expect to be able to rip tourists off and get much more for their taxi services than they should, catch a taxi to the grande taxi station and look for a car and driver there.

A very comfotable cab to Essaouira from Marrakech can cost 80 €.Avoid buses to that place.
