take the bus so called '' Havas '' in Turkish,this is the best way to come to airport.Then you may take a reasonable flight to come to dalaman if you wish.

From Izmir Bus terminal you will find a lot of buses to Fethiye direction and further. They all past by Dalaman, some may not go into the city though. However it is not difficult to find local transport from the road junction.
You will use Havas at Izmir airport to reach the city. They do not have service to Dalaman from Izmir.
