Thank you for posting so much information about Perhentian, however I would like to ask how much does it cost to get from the Airport to the Jetty? What are the options? I understand that the prices for a taxi is RM40-50 pax and RM65 for the whole car. Is that true? Most-likely I will be staying at Tuna Bay and they have their own mode of transportation, should I opt. for that???

hye. if you are wish to get more travel in malaysia and if u worried about cost for staying.. i suggest you get a travel n tour card for holidays that is lifetime card. and the card will get you discount up to 55% for each rooms as i knw... and u get insurance cover and also get alots of package. try sms firdous 0129770423 he will call u back, he the one who offer me the card, its really worthy!!!. i just bought the membership card which there no expired date and alot of things that good for travel and if you want to travel, you no need to worry about booking, they can do it for you and you get 3 days 2 night free of charged and you can bring all your family!! the card, is RM399 for whole life. its really worthy it. if the number its wrong.. hit me, i will look it for you guys!

yes the taxis are surprisingly expensive. it's cheaper to get a taxi to tok bali (but only slightly) and don't buy the boat tickets at the airport. it's possible to bargain if you're not travelling alone.

i can't remember the exact amount we paid but it was about rm60 for the two of us (one malaysian, the other is a tall,obviously foreign,blonde man!) each way.

from the kota bharu bus station- tok bali, it cost something like rm30 (this was after some bargaining. i think they start at rm45)

i think you made a good decision for choosing Tunabay. u r rite, tunabay has their own mode of transportation - -which make your life easirt. they have the land and sea transfer. the prices are vary...

for anyone who wants to know more about Perhantian and Tunabay resort, check this website, www.tunabay.com.my. i'm sure you'll have great experience there. if i'm not mistaken, they offer special promotions during this holiday season...just make your booking now before it's late. i was very satisfied with their services when i got there last year...

Pay for your taxi at the pre payment booth in the airport and you will know that it is a fair price. We paid 67 for 2 pers form airport to Nan Hotel arriving there about 23.00 hours. We also bought the fast boat ferry ticket from the booth next to this and it was the same price as the agents in town. The whole thing went very smoothly. This was in March 2008

Forgot to say the journey takes about 1 hour so I don't think that is a bad deal.
