The tour person arranging our accomodation n out of seoul trips has listed Rainbow hotel at seoul station as an option. Has anyone been there before? Is it an acceptable hotel? meaning clean n safe? Since she says its at seoul station i'm assuming that is should be close to the subway station. Correct?

forgot to add what worries me is that there is not website for the hotel. could it be new or really....... :(

I don't know where you are coming from or where your tour guide is located, but she is a little off. The only Rainbow Hotel I know of is in the Yongsan area of Seoul. I know because I used to walk by it many times as it is near the USO and Samgagkchi Subway Station. It is one block from the back Gate to Yongsan Army Post. It is NOT at Seoul Station. It is however very close to Namyong Station which is only one stop away from Seoul Station. So, if you are staying "on the cheap" in Seoul, it is in an excellent location as far as getting to things. It is very centrally located. I have never been inside of it, but it looks to be an average hotel; maybe 3 star at best. Here is a good link for you to check it out:

By the way, Seoul Station is huge. It is a major central point of travel in Seoul. All the major subway intersect there as well as the major rail routes including the KTX for seeing the rest of the country. There is also a huge Galleria type shopping mall at the station.

I agree with Wstat. In most cases you could have received your answer much faster by checking with Google. It took me all of about 5 seconds to get the information you want.

Anyway, olddude is right, there is no Rainbow Hotel in Seoul station that I'm aware of. The "official" Rainbow Hotel is in Yongsan and is on the rather cheap side (2 star). However, people seem to be very satisfied with it nonetheless...

oops my mistake sorry. it didn't occur to me to google the hotel because the agent specifically said no web page. so i took that as the gospel truth.
