| Benidorm | Benidorm - any tips for disabled visitors Posted: Fri January 18, 2008 06:45 PM UTC
We will be staying in Benidorm (Best Western) for a week but will have rental car for the week so can venture further afield. My husband fancies a drive to Murcia.
My parents will be with us but one of them is a wheelchair user - though they are able to walk short distances with support. I would be interested in any tips/ideas for places to visit that are wheelchair friendly. Also are there any decent fish restaurants as my parents would enjoy that. Many thanks for any ideas. PJ |

The Pelicanos is a great hotel,There are some great Spanish Sea food Restaurants in the old town. But if you would like a run in the car go to the Seafront at Villajosa or go to Calpe port there are about 10 big Sea food restaurants with platters on view on big tables outside. The last time I was there it cost us about 120 Euros for 4 people.
Have a great time

Hello
if you do get the time try and visit the North Costa Blanca as it is really beautiful. Denia is a very nice Spanish working town with good parking and easy access. It has a beautiful seafront and a good selection of tasteful shops and places to eat. El Port on Denia seafront does great seafood and paellas. Moraira is also worth visiting. Beautiful beaches and harbour area with great places to eat. Very relaxing place and the coast drive from Moraira to Calpe is breathtaking with plenty of little coves to stop at and relax if need be. Altea is also very nice, about 20 mins from Benidorm. The old town is very nice, beautiful blue domed church overlooking the sea. Calpe is worth checking out too. Lovely harbour area and do check the Rock out, you can walk along it , flat path etc. Calpe also has a nice long seafront to walk along. Please do check North Costa Blanca out as it is stunning, not to be missed.
