We want to go from Playa del Carmen to San Pedro, Belize. We are thinking to take the bus to Chetumal, then taxi to the border, then taxi to the airport in Corozol, then air to San Pedro. Is that the best way? How far is it from Playa del Carmen to the border? Do we need to make reservations ahead of time? Where is the bus station in Playa del Carmen? Any help would be appreciated.

The bus station is at the south end of 5th Avenue

it is about 3.5 hrs to chetumal from playa if i remember correctly. an ADO 1st class bus will take you and they leave about every 1-2 hrs. check times at www.ticketbus.com.mx but don't buy your ticket online as it is much more expensive. i'd recommend getting your bus tickets as soon as you get to playa. the bus station is at the south end of 5 avenida on the main walking street.
