I am leavign in feb for Punta Cana and have never beeen but I wiant buy a pieces of original art from the natives, where would I find Taino art? I'm staying at the LTI beach golf & spa resort? Any help thanks in advance! Brenda

the tainos have not existed for a long time. they were one of the first cultures wiped out by the arrival of the europeans to the "new world". needless to say, any original works of art are likely only to be in museums and i don't know about their purchase. you will find plenty of replicas and afro-caribbean art which is really cool.
