| Baltimore | Baltimore to DC and back on Saturday Posted: Tue January 15, 2008 02:52 AM UTC
Will be in Baltimore on business thru Friday afternoon and would like to visit DC on Saturday. What is the best way to get there and back? Sounds like the MARC runs only during the week. Any other public transportation? Thanks!

If you can get to BWI, you can take the Metro Bus to Greenbelt Metro Station and then take the subway into DC. Metrobus does run on the weekend and I believe the fare from BWI to Greenbelt is only $3. Here is a trip planner link for you:
http://www.wmata.com./ Just put in where you will depart from (BWI), the date and time you want to leave, and where you want to go in DC and the site will tell you which stops and changes and how much the fare is.

Light rail to BWI airport then the B-30 bus to Greenbelt ($3)- pick up the Metro Greenline there. Going the other way- get a transfer when you get ON the Metro and the bus will be $.65.
