I will be there next week on business and want to stay in fun area that is central for transport. Please recommend an area and a hotel name if possible. After work I really want to go out to hear 'live music' and visit local galleries. Thank you in advance!

Business trip in PTY and first timer ? The El Cangrejo area ( area around Via Espana and Via Argentina ) may be your better option. There are good restaurants, department stores,fashion boutiques, net cafe's, casinos around as well. It's easy to get taxi's there even right off the street.
