Bogotá where should I stay in Bogota?
Posted: Tue January 15, 2008 12:15 AM UTC
I will be there next week on business and want to stay in fun area that is central for transport. Please recommend an area and a hotel name if possible. After work I really want to go out to hear 'live music' and visit local galleries. Thank you in advance!

In my opinion the north is the best area- safest and more quiet.

Bogotá Luxury to Budget Costs for Flats in Bogota
Posted: Mon January 21, 2008 02:07 AM UTC
There is all kinds of places to stay in Bogota. Much depends on the area you want to live in and what you want to do. Another factor to consider is your budget and comfort level. Allot of foreigners gravitate to the La Zona Rosa. This a very gringo friendly area but it is highly commercialized and you do not get the real feel of Bogota. Accommodation in this area is expensive. If your a backpacker kind of person you can find budget places to stay. If you are the kind of person that wants both worlds you may want to rent a furnished apartment from a local. Here is one luxury accommodation at budget prices you may want to try http://www.apartmentinbogota.com

Look around the Zona Rosa, The Royal La Boheme and Royal Andino are right in the center of the best bars and resturants. The Andino is on Calle 85 between 12 ans 13.
