frederiksberg is a very safe part of copenhagen.
it's populated mainly by upper/middle class people and lot's of retired eldery people. it's a boring part of town, but at least it's close to some vibrant parts of copenhagen.

Actually Frederiksberg is (well can be) quite vibrant if you know where to go.
... As for zones to avoid. There aren't really any zones that are dangerous. Your best bet will be to stay as close to the centre as possible.

Avoid Norrebro particular at the moment with riots and petrol bombs being thrown around, but I would also say when things quiet down. I have lived in the neighborhood for more than 5 years.
