Camiguin Island Travel Forum

Hello fellow vters,

I need help. I'll be in Cagayan de Oro on feb1 and will go to Camiguin Island.
Can you please tell me how to get to Camiguin from CDO? and what are the options? and what are the things to do?

My itinerary is:

Feb 1 - Mla to CDO then travel to Camiguin
Feb 2 - Discovering Camiguin Island , Travel to CDO
Feb 3 - CDO - Water rafting, souvenirs, Travel back to Mla

If in Cagayan de Oro, go to the Agora Bus Terminal in Lapasan district. Take a bus or a van for hire going to the town of Balingoan, a 1 hour ride. Upon arriving in the Balingoan Bus Terminal, the Balingoan Port or wharf is around 120 meters away. You can just walk there if you have not much luggage. Then take a ferry to Camiguin Island via Guinsiliban or Benoni town.

arriving from manila to cdo on an early flight will be a big factor if you're planning to go directly to camiguin. from lumbia (airport) take a taxi to agora terminal look for bachelor's express bus (airconditioned) that ply the route to butuan city. these buses runs on a 20 minute interval, then tell the conductor that you'll be dropping at balingoan highway near the port which is only a walking distance to the ferry going to camiguin island. travel time from cdo to balingoan is 90 minutes more or less.there are many interesting tips about camiguin on the camiguin travel forum.

Your itenirary is impossible. Unless you have a private plane, you have to consider transfer times between this places (including departure times). You will be spending more time commuting than enjoying your trip.
