Caracas Caracas Bus Terminals
Posted: Sat January 12, 2008 01:45 PM UTC
I want to get a bus at about 19.00-20.00hrs from Caracas to Ciudad Bolivar. Do I go to Terminal de Oriente or do I need to go to say Rodovias terminal on Avenida Libertador or Aeroexpresos Exjecutivos on Av Principal de Bello Campo Chacao ? i.e. are there any buses to CB this time of day from Terminal de Oriente?
Thanks

If you check Rodovias webpage, for example, you should see their departure times for Ciudad Bolivar are around 8:00 p.m. so it would be a good option for you; and, according to Aeroexpresos Ejecutivos, their departure times are 7:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.

It depends on your choice!

I travelled from Rodovias bus terminal to Ciudad Bolívar last summer with a night bus. The journey took 9 hours and it was the most freezing bus experiense I have had. I had heard I was cold on Venezuelan buses, but could not imagine that it was so cold. Other passengers had brought extra blankets and jackets. Rodivias had two different buses, the exective bus (was 46 000 Bs in June 2007) and the bed bus (50 000 Bs). I took the bed bus and thought I for once was going to be able to sleep on the bus, but that was impossible because of the cold. So take more clothes with you on the bus then you think you will need!
I went directly from the airport to Rodovias and there I had to wait for four hours for a bus. There was a cafeteria and there were no problems to wait that long in Rodovias.
