Tromsø Help me find a 'lost' friend
Posted: Fri January 11, 2008 11:16 AM UTC
Hello!

My name is Eddie and I live in Sydney Australia. The reason I am writing is that I am looking out for an old friend with whom I have lost contact with and hope to find someone who can help me. I hope someone can try to help me. So here is my story!

When I was a teenager - 13 years old - and almost 40 years ago, I had a penfriend who lived in Tromso, Norway. I am trying to locate her. She is likely to be of a similar age - so 53 years - and her name is Lisa Oynes. I am not entirely sure I got the spelling exactly right for the surname as I don't have a Norwegian keyboard. However it is close enough. Can you help me??

I hope you will write back and let me know either way. My address is eddoch@hotmail.com

Take care and thanks!

Eddie

Hi Eddie, her family name would probably be Øynes. Can't find a Lisa Øynes in the online phone book, she might have changed her name if she got married...?

You should try facebook, the easiest way to find anyone for free. If you know anyone else that knew her at the time you can look up all of their names and ask. It's fast and simple to use. I have found so many people through that, you could even set up a group or publish an announcement saying that you are looking for her.

I'm sure that in no time you will find her either directly or someone that knows of her.

Bon courage!
