Hey all
Am going to be in Santiago between the 10th and the 14th of February 2008. Can anyone suggest me if there are any must do's and don'ts? Regards, Omar |

I suggest reading the VT Travelguide of Santiago. I'm sure you will find '1000 ideas' of what to do/see.

DO visit San Cristobel for views over Santiago - first level by steep funicular, top by tiny cable car. Then walk back from station through the artisan area - people selling jewellery off the pavement, loads of university students. Have a beer, or two, or a delicious custard apple juice at one of the pavement cafes.
DONT lose your grip on your camera in the main square by the cathedral - saw 3 people have theirs snatched in 2 days. Do visit the cathedral. DONT get upset by the dogs - they are everywhere and quite neglected, injured, maimed in motor accidents etc.
