hello,
could anybody please tell me what the weather will be like end of april/may. i read in zanzibar.net that it is a rainy season. but what does that mean? raining all the time? few hours per day? is it worth going to zanzibar at all during this time of the year?

Please have a look at my Zanzibar Island and Zanzibar Town pages. All the pictures were taken in May. I had one complete washout on only 1 day in 2 weeks. There was a few quick rainshowers and rain at night after I went to bed. It is the rainy season, but its the cheapest time to go.

Its the tropics. You could have a washout in the middle of the dry season and dry days in the wet season. Its hard to predict. I have had 1 complete rained out day in Zanzibar, Maldives and half a day in Sri Lanka. I always go in the rainy season (near the end) because its cheaper. I would suggest the end of May. In June there's very little rain.
