Cabo San Lucas heading to Cabo this weekend
Posted: Thu January 10, 2008 01:07 PM UTC
6 adults are heading down to Cabo this weekend for 5 nights. Any suggestions on "Must-do's". We are staying in the Pedegral area. Anyone stay in this gated community before? Is it nice?
How safe are tourists in Cabo? Any major concerns should we be aware of?
Any pointers and tips would be greatly appreciated.

The only things to worry about is public drunkeness, good chance of jail, and heavy waves on the beach.
I always going to Morgans Restaurant in San Jose for dinner there are more than enough bars to check out

What do you mean good chance of jail?
I can't even imagaine that. My husband was there with a bunch of guys last Feb..if a bunch of guys can manage no jail then surely 3 couples.
That does worry me though.

Being drunk in public can get you thrown in jail, simple.

Pedregal is one of the nicer areas in town. Its actually very close to the main part of town and the harbor. You may be able to walk to town from your house, but if not (because its too hilly), a cab will only take a few minutes. Safety shouldn't be a concern at all.

Hola; Pedragal has a private beach, good for whale watching, avoiding crowds and the "coyotes"( timeshare reps) found along Medano Beach. Watch out for the waves along the stetch from Pedragal to Solmar Suites to the east. If you walk the beach to the east you can climb through the rock outcropping to Lovers Beach to the north and Divorce Beach to the south, or take a water taxi available at the marina. In town you can walk to many cantinas and restaurants. Baja Cantina provides excellent value and Cabo Wabo or Squid Row for nightlife.
If fishing is on thr agenda see Grant at Baja Anglers. Eso es todo. Anthony
