Hotel Bauer is as close to St Mark as you can get, but it is US$1000 a night... not exactly what I would call a "motel"

Right o... motel means hotel for motor cars. I like the Hotel Flora near St. Mark's - it's small but has gotten a bit pricey.

Hi!
I know for the nice place to stay in Venice. Well, it's not in San Marco, but Venice is a small city, so everything is very near.
Well, there is an apartment in a zone called Cannaregio, which is near Rialto Bridge, the real center of the city.
The apartment is recently restored, furnished and very nice. It has two rooms, 2 beds, each for 2 people, kitchen and bathroom. The price is 45 euros a day per person if there are two people, and 35 euros a day if there are 3 or 4 people.
Here is the contact phone number:+39 3292133565

We are in Venice October 16,17,18,19 and are staying at the Hotel Violino d'Oro located on a small Venetian square a few steps from St. Mark's Square with a view over the Rio San Moise (a small side canal). It is a NON SMOKING hotel, which is rare. Of course, if you smoke, this is not for you.
