hi there
not sure if this is going to help ! but, i go on cricket tour every year to minehead staying in the main town but we play all of our games in devon - you are right on the north devon border - the country and scenery is stunning and it is truly farming country - where ever we played there seemed to be horse riding all around - i would "google" "horse riding north devon" and see what you come up with good luck !

If you put in 'horse riding minehead' you'll come up with lots of possibilities, covering the Somerset area as well as N. Devon (Minehead is in Somerset).
