Punta Cana Travel Forum

Hi. I am travelling to Punta Cana in the 1st two weeks of July. Some weather websites give inflicting info. I am advised its the start of the rainy season, but would I assume correctly that its roughly 2 days per week of downpour then dries off just a quickly. Many thanks. Chris

July is in our hurricane season, meaning that the probability of having a hurricane or tropical storm hitting the country is higher than the rest of the year, like this year we had storm Olga in December.

It's very difficult to say how the weather can be. It might rain constantly for an hour or 2 and then the sun will shine and everything will be hot again or it might just rain a little while the sun is still out. One thing's for sure, you will get sun!

Hi..... we were there at the start of July last year and it rained quite often....... mostly in the evening ...... usually very hard.... did rain a couple of times throughout the day however it was really hot out ... felt good actually..... didnt really slow anyone down from there activities.... Have fun. the beaches are awesome!!
