| Boston | Coming to Boston for 2 wks Posted: Mon January 7, 2008 02:40 PM UTC
My husband has to work in Boston MA for 2 wks. We will be arriving there on Jan. 21,'08. I know, this isn't the best time of yr. to be there but we figure that we'll get to see Boston on co. dollars!! My husband will be wking & I will be left to taking our 2 kids 7 & 9 around Boston. My question-- is it safe for me to take our kids to the Boston Common Frog Pond for ice skating during day?? I will be alone w. them & not part of any group. We will be riding the T from Framingham to there & I'll be dragging along their ice skates. I read somewhere that Boston Common (as w. any city park) can have some questionable sorts hanging around. Any help on this would be appreciated. Also, any cheap eats places around that reflect New England cuisine?? We're on a budget & need to watch the $$. Our kids aren't too picky-- we're pretty open to any kind of cuisine- from Greek (our fav.) to Middle Eastern & all in between. Thanks!!
