| Sofia | Train Sofia - Nis - Belgrade Posted: Mon January 7, 2008 08:54 AM UTC
I will be arriving to Sofia by plane from London, England. I am just curious as to how easy it is to get to the train station and what the best way to go about getting to the station is? Is there a separate international train station, as i will be going to Belgrade?
Also, does anyone know of the cost of the train to Nis or to Belgrade? I found the schedule, 2 trains per day, is that right? thank you very much, i will have some more questions later in regards to where to stay in sofia and what to do on my way back, i plan on stay for 3-5 days on my way home. thanks again!!! |

"Is there a separate international train station, as i will be going to Belgrade?"
No, it's only one station. The ticket to Beograd is 22 Euro +/- 1 Euro. Sleeper is as far as I remember 10 Euro extra to the ticket. To Nish the ticket is 8-9 Euro. Indeed, there are two trains. More ticket rules, blah-blah-blah here (but no prices, I get my prices from www.jizdenka.cz and apply SET discount) http://zeleznicesrbije.com/active/sr-latin/home/gl About SET tariff see at the end: http://zeleznicesrbije.com/active/sr-latin/home/gl More also here: http://bdz.creato.biz/bg/rila Make sure, you head immediately to the Rila ticket ofice, not to the domestic ticket office. The Rila office is at the station, just ask there.
