Kuwait is a small country. You can travel from one end to the other end of the country for a couple of hours with their expressways and ring roads.Even an hour for the speedy driver. :-) Shuaiba is around 50km south east of kuwait city, close to saudi arabia border. You can actually see the area clearly in Google Earth. See the location of KNPC Shuaiba Refinery. It is located between the KNPC's Al Ahmadi and Mina Abdula Refinery.

I just passed by that area on the joyride to Wafra and Saudi border. Saw many houses and people. Kuwait is a developed country. The places where the people live in are not the desert like everybody used to think about the middle east countries. You may find everything there. Nevertheless, alchol, pork, disco and prostitutions are prohibited. Do not expect more for the night life. Car rental will be a good option. Bring your international driving license. If you come to Kuwait by the invitation, they would provide you with the private transportation. happy planning.

Shuiaba is an industrial city. There is a port and a refinery there. Also, there are other factories over there. Its around fifty Km south of Kuwait city. Its not a residential area that means there is no houses or a place to live in in Shuaiba..you either stay in Mahabola or mongaf or somewhere in that area.
By the way….do not worry Kuwait is great and a safe place to live in….trust me you’ll find your way here.:)
