i am planning to learn spanish in quito. i heard there are oer 60 of them in the city and it is the best place to do so in s america b/c ecuadorians speak relatively slow when compared to their spanish speaking neighbour. any recommendation for a school? i am looking at may be 4 weeks of school in quito and use it as a base for travelling around ecuador.

anybody with experience of renting a small apartment or condo for a month there? how much does it cost?

Im Ecuadorian and I live in Quito. If you want some information about Spanish schools you should better look for in the Catholic University, in Quito, which is pretty good. Concerning apartments, it depends the place where you want to live. There are some people who will want you to pay a higher price. i have a really nice house to rent, but it's 3 bedrooms and is probably too
