Need budget accom. in/around(50km.) Dordrecht in February 2008. 4 Adults.
Even the backpackers is too expensive for our Australian Dollar.
Pension/ cabin/summerhouse/ 2 rooms/ will exchange houses(three weeks)Its very warm here now. But only need Dordrecht for 2/3 nights to visit family. But have a hire car so can travel to other places.

It will be hard to find anything cheaper than the backpackers Stayokay Den Haag at 38.3 km (Scheepmakersstraat 27, Den Haag ('s-Gravenhage)).

Have a look at:

Good tip PJ. That's € 240 for a total stay 3 nights/4 adults.
I can't find any lower for the moment.

Slightly more is an apartment in Dordrecht itself with nice views of the river:
Torenstraat 126
3311 TR Dordrecht
Telefoon +31 786149347
Mobile: +31 624270736
3311tr124@hetnet.nl
4 persons at € 90 per night = € 270 per 3 nights.

You need to tell us the exact dates because there's a school holiday end of February which can affect prices of any accommodation. More exact: 1 week in the period 16 Febr. to 2 March, depending on the region.
In the Dordrecht/Zuid-Holland region -> 23 Febr. to 2 March.

... and the carnaval celebrations can be of influence too.

BTW Weekend prices can differ from non-weekend (www.weekeindjeweg.nl for weekend offers).

Thank you Pieter Jan and A. Maybe we will stay in Egmond aan Zee at EU200/week and travel south for the day. But will look at the sites you have mentioned. Thanks for the holiday information as well.

That's perfectly do-able. Just remember traffic rush hours are significant in our country and can lengthen your trip by an hour or two.
My advice is to travel after 9.30 in the morning and start your return trip either before 3.30 in the afternoon or after 7 in the evening.
Especially since you have the jams around Amsterdam, The Hague (A4) and Rotterdam (A13) to tackle on your route from Egmond a/Z to Dordrecht.

Also remember that part of the A13 between Delft and Rotterdam is strictly 80 kms p/h max. You will ALWAYS get flashed and fined if you go faster.
