| Rio de Janeiro | Rio de Janeiro in March Posted: Sat January 5, 2008 07:35 PM UTC
We are planning a two week trip to Rio in March. However we have just realised that part of our trip falls over Easter. I was therefore wondering are attractions / shops / restaurants likely to be closed over this period?

Hi there! Don't worry the Easter holidays will have no impact on your trip. Things like the Sugarloaf and the Christ are always open. So are restaurants, bars and supermarkets. The only things which may be affected on Easter day are shops and boutiques, but I'm sure you'll survive without that! Anyway beaches are always open!! Good luck. S.
