I was wondering if anyone has a good recommendation for a one day trip to Petra either from Tel Aviv or from Eilat. I am confused because there are so many options on the internet. Would it be better to purchase from israir airline package or Airkia airline package or would it be better to go to eilat first and take a tour from there? Also, does anyone recommend a tour company with a good reputation? Thanks in advance for your reply. JIM

Going from Eilat is much simpler as the drive from the border crossing to Petra is less than 2 hours. This makes it feasible to go for one day to Petra and go back to Eilat by the evening. Amman is much further away from Petra, so if you go from there you will need to spend the night in Petra.

I went to Petra and Wadi Ram with the same company that Bregman
,mentioned and had a great trip. Reommended.
