looking to take my video camera wondered how much extra for each site? and if i was allowed to use it?
looking to visit karnak,luxor temple (day and sound and light show), luxor museum. Valley of the kings, queens, del el bahri? thanks in advance |

The only place you will NOT be able to use a camcorder or camera is in the Tombs and I've never had any hassle or been asked for money anywhere. Mind you I haven't been everywhere yet. Just the major sites.

Hi from all my visits to Luxor I have found that the only place they ask you to leave your video camera is the King's Valley, unless you are only going to climb over the mountain to either Deir el Medina or Deir el Bahari. I have paid 40 LE to video the sound and light show at Philae and Karnak, and they give you a ticket. Also no cameras or video cameras in Luxor Museum. I have always been able to use my video camera anywhere else. Maybe other VTs will know of other restricted places.
