We are planning a trip to Redang in April and would like some help on the best travel options from Redand to Tioman.
Has any got any itravel nformation, would be much appreciated. Thank you Ossie |

I tell you Redang and Tioman are paradise. I've been there one time and would love to go again. Do consider Perhentian as well becasue it's near to Redang.
Ok, Redang is in Trengganu while Tioman is in Johore., Redang is north to Tioman. I'm not sure whether there is a water transport from Redang to Tioman, but to go from Redang to Tioman you can go by road. From redang take a boat to Mareng, and from mareng do take bus to Kuala Terengganu. From Kuala terengganu , there are plenty of bus to Rompin. And from Rompin you can go to jetty heading to Tioman. Just to correct what Emma said above and some additional info for you.
From Redang, take the late boat (after 3.00pm would be good)will take you back to MERANG Jetty on the mainland. You have to take a taxi to Kuala Terengganu Bus Station (abt RM45/taxi : 1 hrs ride). Connect with the overnight bus from Kuala Terengganu to Mersing. The night bus depart about 10ish but you will reach Mersing very early, about 5ish in the morning. Walk to the jetty and buy your earliest boat ticket to Tioman.
