Best suggestion is to use Google maps (http://maps.google.com/) . I typed in AMI stadium, Christchurch, NZ and it showed me where the stadium is. Then you can get directions to there from the address of your hotel. The stadium also used to be called "Jade Stadium".

Simple! From your hotel you walk down Manchester Street (it is just about 50 metres from that street), until Moorhouse Ave, turn to the left, and you already see the stadium.
You can also take the free shuttle bus from Cathedral Square down to Moorhouse Ave, and then you just have to walk the 500 metres from there to the stadium. Sissi
