Weather is nice all year round. The hurricane season is done, but DR can rain for 10 min and then the sun is out again. Dont worry about any rain while your stay in Punta cana.. believe me that it will be tons of sun just foryou.

I went in Feb. 2006 and I had the same concern as you when I would check the weather forcasts, but you will find if you also google other locations in the Caribbean the forcast almost always has chances of thunderstorms and 30 to 60 percent chance of rain. However when I went to Punta Cana the 10 day forcast was just that and it ended up being sunny 70% of the time. Keep in mind the weather patterns change quickly down their so a bright sunny day can cloud up and even rain a little and then an hour later its sunny again. In all honesty I wouldn't worry about it at all!

May or may not rain but there's always a breeze sometimes to much of one.
