Hi

Does anyone have any experience of booking a late check-out at the Taj Exotica?

We are going in April for 2 weeks but our return flights goes at 3am which I'm guessing will mean we leave around 9pm for the airport.

The booking agent wants £98 for a late checkout, Orchid Room, which I think is a lot. The hotel themselves, when I ask, say they charge for a full night whether you use it or not.

Will I get this cheaper once we are there?

Hi Gay,

Just a suggetion which might be a cheaper option, You can check out at the normal time and get to a hotel closer to the airport ( 10 - 15 mins away) relax and get to the airport without much hassel. You don't have to stay in a very expensive hotel and it could be far cheaper than 98 pounds.

Thanks for that advice. Not sure if it's worth the hassle to save a small amount, change transfer arrangements etc. but if we get bored with the Taj Exotica it may be worth it.

We like to soak up the sun on the beach with just one or two trips on our first visit to somewhere new.

We have booked B&B and wanted to eat out of an evening but a few reviews have said it's not safe. I do hope that's not true.

We are well used to being 'hassled' by locals trying to earn a living.

Any recomendations for eating out within walking distance of the Taj Exotica?

Just got back and thought I'd answer my own question.

Whatever you do, don't pay £98 as the travel agents wanted. We paid £25 to keep our Orchid room until 8pm.
