My husband and I are planning to travel from Cancun to Merida with a rental car in February. Is driving/parking a problem? We have driven from Cancun to Tulum area several times.

Just visited Merida in November. I travelled by bus, but I don't think you would have a problem traveling from Cancun to Merida by car. The trip was mostly on a highway. The city center of Merida might be a little daunting though. Very narrow streets and most are one ways. If you are entering the city center good thing to remember,streets are all numbered with odd going north/south and even going east/west(numbers will skip by one. ex. 75 then73) Parking in the city center is also a little hectic.
