Rio de Janeiro Travel Forum

Hello, I am arriving in Rio de Janeiro at the end of January for a three month tour of surfing and relaxing. It's my second trip to Rio, i am really considering the outdoors and the beaches in Santa Catirinha for camping outside on the beaches. I want to avoid too many hostels, to save money for other things. It's just a general question to see if anyone knows much about this. I'm not really concerned about campsites specifically I want to know more about dangers and or convenience of areas in southern Brazil anyone might know of.. Thank you very much Ryan

i think the best way like a friend from Europe did when she was in Rio,is rent a room in apartament with someone. You are going to stay in Brazil for 3 months in Santa Catarina right? you can go and then try to find a room, there are always a college studant looking for a roommte. You'll save more money then if you stay for the same time in a hostel.
